How TrustLogic® was born.

Why is it that everyone tells you how important trust is and that you should build it but then offers no answer as to how to do it?
TrustLogic® was born out of frustration with just that.
Be honest? With what?
Be transparent? With what?
Deliver what you promise? What do I need to promise?
Do the right thing when no one is looking?

Well, that’s a pretty low bar.


Twenty years ago, Founder Stefan Graefe was attending a global senior executive and strategist conference.
By the end, the executives, who combined, were spending about $5bn a year in the market, were in vigorous agreement that trust was the key factor that turbocharges performance.
But then an American client raised his arm and asked: 'How do I build it then? How do I manage it and how do I ask my CFO for
money for it?’ The room went awkwardly silent. No one knew.

How do you actually build trust?

So Stefan made it his mission to find out. With his team, he began exploring everything known on trust. The stats, company data, psychology, sociology, anthropology, even self-help.

Stefan engaged eminent psychologists, including the father of modern psychology theory, the late Professor Wilhelm Salber, to supervise the work and make sure it held up to scientific scrutiny.

And so TrustLogic® was born.

Right from the start we didn’t just theorise. We tested every step to see the practical effectiveness with constant revision.

The Six Buckets of Trust®

When we trained a sales team 15 years ago, the model still felt abstract to some. But in one workshop a sales guy exclaimed: ‘I get it. It’s like six buckets of trust that I need to fill. And now I know which ones to fill and I know what to fill them with.’

What seemed such a simple concept brilliantly encapsulated the
model. The Six Buckets of Trust® has become the driver. It inspires and is intuitive to work with, quickly making it your team’s favourite job.
 
We applied the same rigour in statistical analysis and practical evidence to the TrustLogic® Driver Analysis. After all, what are statistical recommendations good for if you can’t translate them into measurable results?
