The scientific basis of TrustLogic®

The Methodology Matters

Many trust-building frameworks rely on theoretical constructs with minimal scientific validation. For instance, some Trust Equations are often cited as scientific models of trust, but a closer examination of their own literature reveals that they are a conceptual framework derived from professional experience rather than empirical research, or practically untested.

TrustLogic®'s Robust Scientific Foundation

TrustLogic®, on the other hand, is grounded in rigorous scientific research and has demonstrated practical success across various industries. The development of TrustLogic® involved extensive psychological analysis, including over one hundred 90-minute in-depth interviews conducted by psychologists Barbara Grohsgart and Stefan Grafe under the supervision of Professor Wilhelm Salber, a leading figure in modern psychology. This research formed the basis of the TrustLogic® model, which has been applied globally with consistently positive outcomes.

From Theory to Practice

After establishing a solid theoretical foundation, the TrustLogic® team—comprising both academics and practitioners—collaborated with data scientists, including experts from Deloitte, to develop algorithms that could replicate and enhance practical results through data analysis. This process also involved conducting driver analyses to ensure that TrustLogic® accurately represented trust and the Net Promoter Score (NPS). The TrustLogic® team found that the six dimensions of TrustLogic® accurately explained trust and, to an even higher degree, the NPS.

To ensure the survey statements were precise, the TrustLogic® team modelled multiple wording options for each trust dimension. However, they discovered that one statement per TrustLogic® dimension was sufficient. This efficiency means that including the TrustLogic® module in your survey takes just 8 seconds for respondents to complete.

Combining Theory and Practice

The robustness of TrustLogic® is the result of the continuous interplay between scientific rigour and practical application. Each aspect informs and enhances the other, ensuring that TrustLogic® remains both theoretically sound and practically effective.
